Chief Financial Officer, Ardshinbank

Garegin Gevorgyan assumed the position of Chief Financial Officer of Ardshinbank CJSC in June 2025. Previously, he was the Deputy CEO of Alliance for Financial Inclusion, leading initiatives to promote inclusive financial systems worldwide.

With a distinguished career in finance spanning nearly three decades, Garegin Gevorgyan has extensive expertise in financial regulation, banking, and executive leadership.

Garegin Gevorgyan began his professional journey at the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia in 1996, where he served as a Senior Specialist in the Reserves Management Division. Later, for the next two years he held the position of the Head of the Financial Risk Management Department.

In 2000, Garegin Gevorgyan joined InterEquity Capital Partners as a Research Analyst, gaining valuable insight into private equity markets. This was followed by a strategic leadership role at Unibank CJSC in 2002 as Director of the Securities Center. From 2002 to 2004, Garegin Gevorgyan served as a Senior Bank Consultant for the USAID Bank Training Program.

His executive leadership trajectory continued at Cascade Credit UCO CJSC, where he served as CEO from 2004 to 2008, and briefly with Symbiotics, SA in 2008 as an Institutional Borrower Engagement Consultant.

Later that year, Garegin Gevorgyan took on the role of CEO at SEF International MFI LLC, a position he held for over 13 years.

In 2022, Garegin Gevorgyan returned to the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia, this time as Director of the Financial Stability and Regulation Directorate.

Garegin Gevorgyan is a Harvard Business School alumnus, a chartered financial analyst, holds a Master’s degree in International Relations and Economics and a PhD in Economics and Finance from Yerevan State University.

Garegin Gevorgyan was born on February 8, 1975.
