Financial Stability and Regulation Director at CBA
Garegin Gevorgyan is an audit committee member at the Black Sea Trade and Development Bank and a board member at seven organizations, while he heads the Financial stability and regulation directorate at the Central Bank of Armenia.
Prior to joining the Central Bank of Armenia, Garegin founded Zeppa superapp, led SEF International to restructure operations for robust growth, consulted a microfinance intermediary Symbiotics S.A. on bond issuance for Armenian lenders, developed renewable energy financing program at Cascade Credit UCO with EBRD and World Bank, helped set up a financial services group, Cascade Capital Holdings, advised Armenian banks on risk management, reviewed investment proposals for venture capital firms in New York , and set up risk management systems for international reserve managers at Central Bank of Armenia.
Garegin teaches finance courses at American University of Armenia. He is a Harvard Business School alumnus, holds a Ph.D. from Yerevan State University, an MBA from Hofstra University, and is a CFA charterholder.
