“Auditing Risk Management: Delivering Insight and Adding Value” is an intensive full-day, in-person professional development workshop designed to enhance the capability of internal auditors to evaluate and strengthen their organization’s risk management frameworks. Led by internationally recognized expert John Chesshire, the training combines practical techniques, proven methodologies, and real-world case examples to help auditors deliver deeper insights and measurable value.
Throughout the session, participants explore what effective risk management looks like in practice and how internal audit can assess both the design and operation of risk processes. Using a mix of theoretical foundations and hands-on discussions, the course covers topics such as assessing risk maturity, understanding risk appetite and culture, integrating risk considerations into audit planning, and formulating impactful improvement recommendations. Special attention is given to how internal audit can move beyond compliance-focused reviews and provide more strategic, value-adding perspectives to senior leadership.
This workshop is particularly relevant for Chief Audit Executives, Internal Audit Managers, Risk Managers, and experienced Internal Auditors who oversee or evaluate risk management processes. By the end of the training, participants will have clearer, more actionable approaches for auditing risk management and communicating insights that support stronger decision-making and organizational resilience.
The training offers 8 CPE credits and is delivered in Yerevan in a full-day format. Participation fees are 79,000 AMD for IIA Armenia members and 99,000 AMD for non-members, with a 15% group discount for teams of three or more from the same organization.
